Even if it is a brand new radio you would have to get it unlocked? I don't think that is the case here. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

That is good to know. I also am low on funds but I will be keeping that part number handy.

It shouldn't need to be unlocked if it's brand new, I wouldn't think. I installed a brand new OEM Navigation unit in my '08 and there was absolutely nothing I had to do, just turned the key and it powered right up functioning perfectly. Non-NAV radios might be different though :P

Yeah i didnt think that there would have to be an unlock on a new radio from stealership. If they are charging you they might just want to make a quick buck!

Unfortunately, I had the opposite experience in my 2007 (06/06 build) Denali SUV. I can't remember what message it gave or if part of it worked or not but I had to go back to the dealer to get it reprogrammed after I upgraded.

How does the saying go "Don't shoot the messenger!!" I am just stating what my service manager told me. Obviously he could be wrong and I always try things out for myself before donating to stealerships. Saving up for the MN BlackBear tune now so this will have to wait....

THE NEW PHONE BOOKS ARE HERE!

THE NEW PHONE BOOKS ARE HERE!

The 2010 NAV unit with USB I ordered off Ebay just arrived and it does indeed have a mini USB port on the back. It is below the XM and to the left of the FM antenna connections. They now form sort of a triangle. The other 4 connectectors arranged in two pairs look like before. The part number 25966513.

I won't have a chance to hook this up for a few days because of the weather but as far as I can tell, everything the seller advertised is correct. I will post pictures soon.

Awesome! Definitely looking forward to pics. Maybe I'll get lucky and score another new one, then sell the one I have now to recoup the costs.

Does the one you bought say it'll play DVD movies on it?

I am going to say yes but will not be 100% sure until I try. The included wiring harness has an RCA connector and a variety of wires labled for power to cameras. Also, the seller included a Lockpick device. I'll put up pictures of the wires too.

Easy way to tell is if the front of the unit has the "DVD" logo and a "Dolby Digital" symbol on it.... if so, it can play DVD movies on the NAV screen.

Here are the photos. The last one is the all the wiring included. The biggest bundle is part of the Lockpick but there is another cable/connector with a red RCA connector on it. I have no idea if this the output to RSE or rear camera input. Instructions were e-mailed to be by the seller but they are for an earlier model. Still waiting to see if he has anything newer. Also in the last photo is a 5.0c version of the NAV disc.

Enjoy!

Go back and look at post #66.

The usb is on the left side of the unit with a usb cable plugged in.

Different than what is shown above in Gregorio's post.

What gives?

Damn good question. I'm wondering if maybe that $550 unit was a Delphi-made unit for the Lambda CUVs.... which wouldn't work in a GMT900 truck (note Gregorio's unit is a Denso... which is the correct GMT900 part).
