33 Inch Tires On Factory 20 Inch Rims Off Road

I often drive through stump holes and over small rocks. I would avoid or move any rocks higher than 6 inches. Im not trying to climb mountains just using the truck as a truck. If I can see a stump hole I avoid it but they are often hard to see.

The GMC manual does not recommend using the 20" wheels off road.

If you have experience with such wheels and tires off road please share.

Thanks

20 inch tires don't offer the protection due to their short sidewalls and wheels can be damaged. 17 or 18 inch wheels are suggested because of their taller (and more protective) sidewalls. Other than the slight possibility of damaging a tire or wheel, there is no other reason to NOT run the 20s if you are somewhat careful.
