Anybody have any on hand experience with the sound of the 4.8 out of a gmt-900 truck with just the muffler swap? keeping the same tailpipe just cutting out the factory muff and putting in a flowmaster. i had an 02 sierra which i put the flowmaster super 40 on this way and it sounded great. but this truck seems to have a growl to it allready. wondering if the super 40 would be too much for the NBS chevs or gms. any info or clips would be nice. thanks for your input

yeah...people are going to tell you their opinion, but the most important opinion is yours. I would go for it because i think an aftermarket muffler/exhaust is a very fun/cool thing to have done. I love hearing my truck every time i start it up :puke: but i dont have a newer chevy, so i dont have experience with your model If/When you get it done be sure to let us know

I love my magnaflow man, IMO its way better than flowmaster... Ive heard that flowmaster only alters sound and not performance.

But magnaflow actuly does both
