I have 35 in Nitto mud grapplers on now and I want to hear my radio again. Any thoughts on other tires that wont make me think there is a airplane over top of me.

BFG A/T's are a good choice, I just switched over to Nitto Terra Grapplers...so far, so good. You've got a mud terrain, they're going to hum on the road to some degree.

I too have Nitto Terra Grapplers and I barely hear any road noise but again thats an all terrain. When I was buying my wheels and tires the guy at the shop said the new Nitto Trail Grapplers were an excellent tire and have less road noise than the Mud Grapplers. You can check those out if you want. I think they look pretty nice

I was interested in those Trail Grapplers, but sizes are limited right now. As a matter of fact, I THINK you can only get them in a 35"er.

This was the first mud tire I had ever bought, I just thought I could live with a little road noise I didnt think they would be this loud. OK

I would like to try the trail grapplers but was hoping that a couple of the people that have them might respond with review of them.

Any mud tire is going to be loud, granted some are worse than others depending on how aggressive the tread design is. If you don't really need a mud tire, then I would go with an aggressive AT. I have been really pleased with the Terras but I will probably switch to the Mickey Thomspon ATZ's when the time comes. The new Trail Grapps should be alot quieter than the Muds but I would bet they still have a decent hum.

I have the Nitto Terra Grapplers All Terrain (305/55R20's) and I really don't notice tire noise at all. Unfortunately, this size is just a bit too big for a stock height 2500HD.
