Is This About Average

I'm getting the blackbear tune on the 6th, and my Volant CAI should be in by the end of this week. I figured I would drive decent to and from work to see what my average would be. Then compare after the mods are installed.

 

I was also wondering if this was about average to what the rest of yall are getting.

I'd say way above average. My DIC is showing around 13.5MPG since the last fillup. All city driving to work under 35mph, lotsa stoplights and stop signs. Along with the cold weather its bad for MPG. I've found for the DIC to be somewhat accurate it needs reset right after every fill up and all parameters reset also. If you reset it while cruising down the road at 55mph after going 100 miles it will read way too optomistic.

I always reset everything after a fill up ( before I leave the pump)

 

This is about 75% highway and 25% city.

Around town usually see about 14-15...but in the winter now I see about 11-12.

Order the "special" AFM lifters and that will buy you an extra 5 MPG

Right now I am living a quarter mile at a time I have yet to lose to anyone the 6.2 is so much fun to drive.

 

(Note the 13.4 city is better than my old 2000 5.3 ever seen in the winter, it got 12.5-13)

24.1. That was at 60 mph...on a 250 mile trip to the cabin up north. Only saw about 20.9 on the way home though....but that was at 70 MPH.

I usually see around 14 -16 mpg. But I decided to drive normal and see what I am averaging on my trip to work.

 

I move around a lot for my job. But I will be at this location for the next couple weeks.

So I figured I'd check it now, and after the mods.

 

Driving normal is sooooo boring.

 

I literally almost fall asleep.

 

I'll be glad when I finish with this tank

That seems about right.

Ive gotten 22.8 on a trip before, but I had a few stops in between that dropped my avg
