Every now and then, I'll take my girlfriend to a fancy restaurant or club; that offers valet parking. I tell her that I either will drop her off at the front, or she can walk with me after "I" park my truck lol. No sir ry, not letting any snot nosed teenager; who can barely drive his own car touch my truck.... nope not going to happen.

DITTO!

I once saw the valets from a high-class restaurant in a parking lot a few blocks away doing donuts with a brand new Corvette and pulling the E-brake on an Audi, going sideways. I never give my keys to any of those guys, no matter how far away I have to park or how long it takes me to find a spot!

I unfortunately don't get to frequent those types of restaurants very often but either way I and only I will be parking my truck!

What would happen if they were to damage a rim or anything? I guess the valet company is insured?? If they were to get come curb rash you would most likely not notice it until the next day.

I will NEVER EVER trust a Valet with the truck, and I Will NEVER EVER EVER trust them with my 11 Year old Car! i have seen and heard of stories where the Valet Drivers ABUSE the vehicle they are in charge of! (Possibly voiding the Warranty!!)

I used to work security at The Berkeley in Richmond, VA and one of my duties was to triple as both the bellhop and the valet after 10 pm. Despite being a young 18-year-old and getting to drive fairly nice cars the block or so to the garage, I always took care to drive carefully, maybe giving a little too much gas once in a while once I entered the garage. That said, I avoid valets now. It's a good thing the beer store and the Mexican restaurants don't have them.

Now, I did have to use a valet at the Sheraton in New Orleans. But that was in my government car, so it wasn't my concern how they drove it.

I avoid valet parking. I drove the truck to our hotel in New Orleans once. We stayed at The Provincial which only has valet parking. I wasn't worried about them driving my truck because the lot was so crowded with cars that there was no place for them to abuse it. I was, however, worried about door dings. They cram everybody's cars into tiny spaces and they are constantly re-arranging the cars to get someone's out. We stayed there a week and I checked on the truck on a daily basis. My OCD drives the wife nuts... oh well.

I used to be a valet in the college days. After that, there is no chance in hell I would ever valet any of my vehicles!

It would be too hard to explain to the valet dude that after pressing the brake pedal he has to get out and beat on the brakes  and to watch for the tools falling out

when i went to prom i would not let some douche bag kid park my beloved 1999 Sierra 3500 dually so i parked halfway on the grass right next to the entrance, got myself and my date out, locked it and said, go ahead and tow it and walked inside.

when i came out waaaay later it was still there with a fine from the police on it... $250 i forget what for
