Cupillac Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I tried to find some stuff on the internet, just wondering if there are any plans to redesign the Chevs and GMCS? Thinking of purchasing a new truck in the next 3 months or should I waiti until next years models?

There have been official reports from GM that state it will be targeted for the 2013 model year. As for the HD refresh, we have our own thread right here: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=109072

Great news....hope they stay away from the big rig look and do something sharp! Since it's only 3 years out we should see some renders soon.
Stex Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 I took some heat on one of these threads for saying my dealer said next gen GMC will be way different than chevy in looks...some were vocal that all dealers know nothing... Here you go another source: First up, the next-gen GMC Sierra 1500 half-ton. We're told by sources that the Sierra will look significantly more different from the Chevrolet Silverado than it does today. http://news.pickuptrucks.com/2010/02/futur...ierra-1500.html

Yeah it has been a awesome truck, you got alot for the price of these trucks but my lease is coming up soon, starting a family and with a few Labs I need the little extra room. Even though the box on the Crewcab GMT 900 is slightly shorter than my Tacoma its wider and deeper which will help for work. Plus when I heard the 6.2L was offered in a muscle truck!
pm26 Posted February 24, 2010 Posted February 24, 2010 Only thing you can always count on is bigger, bolder graphics and priced 4% higher. And deletion of several standard features found on today's trucks. I have a feeling that the leather wrapped steering wheel is going to disappear as standard equipment from all LT trucks next year. Do not worry, the "steering wheel appearance" package will be available for a mere $ 350. It will include a heated, lether wrapped steering wheel with 35 different buttons on it. And, GM is also hard at work on the optional "truck appearance package" which will be mandatory if you want your truck to look like a truck. Again, a mere $ 500 extra will give all the stickers and chromed shiny surfaces you need. Even if they start rusting 4 months later. I can also see an all new "LTZ plus" version of 4X4 crew cab Z71, which stickers for only $ 59,600, and comes with a built-in lap top computer, and heated/cooled antelope leather seats and cupholders. I only wish that what I said above was a joke, but this is the trend folks. Keep deleting standard equipment, adding all kinds of options, cheapening the basic truck and power train, substituting Chinese made substandard quality parts for former US made parts, and driving the sticker price with all options into LaLa land. Then, once that sticker climbs into the stratosphere, they will top off your GM card to $ 4,000 and come up with a $ 8,000 rebate to make you feel good about what a great deal you are getting on that fully loaded truck, which you can buy now for only $ 47k.
daniel4191 Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 GM is going to mess up and lose some long time customers if they aren't careful. They need to just stick with what we all love and enjoy.
