Hi. I was looking at buying some 18'' rims and some 33'' tires for my silverado. I was wondering if i needed to atleast put a leveling kit on it and about how much do they run? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Also i was thinking about running the Nitto Mud Grapplers but dont want a loud humming driving on the highway. So now im thinking about goin with Nitto Trail Grapplers. Anyone have any experience with either tire? Thanks Alot!!!

I put on the CCM 2.5" leveling kit on my 09 4X4 with 18" rims and 33" tires. It cost a little over a hundred bucks, maybe $150 and it clears fine.

Sweet man thanks for the info!!!

from what I hear the trail grapplers are one of the quietest mud tires around

ya probly alot better than the mud grapplers. Ill probly just go with trail grapplers to get that aggresive look but keep the noise level down on the highway

i have a set of 35" mud grapplers on my f150. they're loud but no doubt it can change the appearance of a truck completely, they're no doubt the best looking tire on the market. the only downside is there a little loud and wear down faster than your standard A/T. but if you have exhaust you'll be fine with the sound of the tires as they wont appear as loud. and about the mileage. no mud tire will get a ton of miles out of a m/t. so basically if you want a good look and a set of tires that'll last you only 10,000 miles less than other m/ts then go with the mud grapplers. if you're worried about loudness and tire wear then just get some street slicks.

So with an exhaust they arent that loud? i just dont want it so loud i have to crank my stereo to hear it or yell at the passenger to talk to them lol.

It sounds to me like you'd prefer an all terrain to a mud terrain. You'll get longer tire life, and a quieter ride in an A/T. Also, most, if not all A/T's are siped, while I believe M/T's aren't.
