Ouch...scratched Oem 6" Oval Step

Hey guys,

Does anybody know where I can get a new or lightly used GM OEM 6" side step for a 07+ NNBS crew cab. I pulled into a parking lot this morning and cut the corner too sharp and scratched the passenger side bar. I'm not sure if you can buy them separately or if anyone has one available.

Thanks for any input...

I don't believe they can be sold seperately from GM. Your best bet is to search the for sale sections of different forums and Ebay as well. Even then it seems you are going to have to buy a pair and they seem to hold their value pretty well even when used. It might be cheaper for a local shop to sand out the scratch and rechrome them or touch up that area vs buying another set.

A quality re-chrome will run you about $225.00 the problem is that it might look better than the other one.

The re-chrome for the rear bumper on my 67 Camaro was $275.00 and that included striating it out and leaving no tool marks (very very little compared to cheap shops) a quality job has thicker copper and more nickle dips and even polish compared to cheaper placed that try to grind polish out inperfection vs grind fill, copper and nickle them out.
