I'm looking for some 33" tires for the 18" chrome wheels on my '09 sierra crew cab 4x4. I plan on installing a lift to accommodate the 33s, but I'm having problems finding a lot of choices for the 18" rims. Please give me some ideas on my options, and pics would definitely help if anyone has the allterrain package rims with 33s.

thanks

Adam

I will be adding a readylift 2.25 leveling kit with 3" rear blocks to accommodate the 33" tires. What size# do I need to look for" 285,275,305.....? to get the 33"?

One of the most common sizes folks upgrade to after doing a level, is 285/65/18. This tire is 32.56" diameter, and is a fairly common tire size.

I have the 285/65/18 on my truck. Work good minor rubbing when turning full lock like up/down a drive way. But does not happenn all the time.

I just put BFG 275/70/18 on my 2008 with a Skyjacker Level kit. Here's a pic (not the greatest quality)

They don't rub even at full lock. But there not quiet as wide as the 285/65/18 but a good bit cheaper. They are taller though. :D

Awesome, these will be going on my junk soon. any noticeable ride differences vs stock. are they any heavier resulting in any power loss?

Thats because your rims are 1/2" wider than stock...

Not sure if you were asking me or someone else so on the chance it was meant for me...

I haven't noticed any ride difference. It did sit her up a little higher (taller tire). I do notice just a touch of a power difference not major but there is a slight power loss.

whats the size issue dave? i have had them before. they are definitely a good looking, long lasting tire that performs very well in sand and hard pack. they seem weak to me in mud or wet clay, but they are not a mud tire. the last set i had a tendency to hydroplane too. the will last for 70,000 miles though, which is good, for whoever else buys my truck cause it has 60,000 mi. on it now and it will be gone before it hits 90,000 mi.

I need a 35x12.5 in a few weeks, for 18s the BFG only comes in the metric equivelent of a 33 or 35x13.5 so I would have clearance issues.. unfortunately
