Looking For A Bug Shield...

I am looking to put a bug shield on my truck (2009 GMC Sierra 1500), but I am looking for something that doesn't cover the small piece of grille trim on the front edge of the hood. I thought about just going with a chrome shield, but I kind of want a smoke colored one to keep the front from being overly chrome. Any suggestions on where I could find a shield like this? Thanks in advance.

Your local GMC truck dealer will have just what you are looking for go to the parts dept and tell them what you want, they have chrome and smoke, I have the chrome one, fits real nice. Real easy to install me and my wife installed mine in about 30 mins. But will have to wait for the temps to get higher for the tape to hold properly.

 

After you put on any bug shield you will need to put on some double sided 3M body tape on the windshield molding on each side of the windshield. Takes about 30 mins again and you should be able to get the parts in any auto parts store.

I went with EGR (i believe is the correct name). Got it off of autoanything.com It had reviewes on the site from buyers that own the NNBS trucks and all gave it great reviews. No wind noise was the biggest thing I was looking for. Im puting mine on, on Sat so I cant give a personal review yet. Also the instliation says only takes a few mins and no 3m tape or anything. It comes with clips for the factory holes and that is how it is secured down.

Will do. Got a big list of stuff going on the truck sat. Brush guard, nerf bars, mud flaps, leveling kit, bug deflector, DIC, Volant CAI and I think thats it lol.

I'm installing a Weathertech on mine tomorrow. Heard nothing but great reviews about them around here.

Got the EGR on over the weekend. Went with the superguard which is a lil bigger and is the perfect size. I loved that it fastened into the 5 holes under the hood and didnt have to use 3M tape. Installed in 5 min and 0 wind noise.
