Temperature Sensor

Three times now I have had my truck back to the selling dealer for a problem with the outside temperature sensor, and an apparently related issue with the climate control fan operation/speed. The sensor has been replaced, but it didn't solve the problem. For example, the other day the reading was 29 degrees first thing in the AM. As the day wore on, the outside temperature reached almost forty, but the reading on the DIC stayed at 29. So this isn't a big deal, but the truck is brandy new, and everything should work, right?

The other thing, related I believe, is that the climate control has the fan blowing at high speed on occasion when the truck is first fired up in the morning. Now, there's no warm air to blow at that time, of course, so I get a nice cold stream of air blowing through the cabin until I manually lower the fan speed. After the truck has some warm water going through the heat exchanger, I push the "auto" button and everything works as it should for the rest of the day. The dealer hasn't been able to come to grips with these issues. Any help out there?

Well, I guess there are no technicians out there that can handle this issue.
