6.0max Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 Hey there.. been looking around for a while and finaly decided to sted in you guys have lots of good info and realy no what your talking about. Im from Eastern Canada 5 min of the state of Maine border. I had a 2002 ext sierra 5.3 till last fall, it got stolen right in my drive way...now that my tear have gone i recently bought a black 2007 crew cab LTZ. What can I say....this truck is just awsome whould drive it day and night (if gas whould be cheaper)...as much bad luck had hit me in the past year I've been lucky enought to find an unreal deal on a set of like new Dick Cepek 305/55/20. I was installed a leveling kit to lift the front so that those rubbers will clear the fenders. Not lucky this time, tires are rubbing in the back side of the fender wells quite much. What I have used is a rough contry shim kit that goes under the strut at the bottom mounting point and also put a 3 inch block in the back so the truck is still higher in the back it wont look wrong if i lift the front more but how much lift can I put on my stock suspension before it could be dangerous for my joints and steering component? I was wondering if another shim on the top a the coil whould be too much and give my axels too much angle????
