Radio Noise When Applying Brakesand Using Aux Input

I have a 2009 Silverado 1500 ext cab. I finally connected my GPS/mp3 player. Whenever using the Aux input, I hear a fairly loud "click" through the speakers whenever I apply the brakes. I hear a slight click when I put the windows up or down. I unplugged my GPS and just left the cable plugged into the aux jack just to be sure it was not coming from the GPS. No noise when I am not using the aux input.

 

Any ideas?

it's a bad ground in your electrical system.. you can get a ground loop isolator cable.

 

this is where i ordered one for my mom from:

 

ground loop isolator cable

 

it should fix your problem.

 

pretty common problem if you have a power adapter running to your gps/mp3 player while it's plugged in.. even if not, this may fix your problem.

The same thing happens to my input. Its like a constant clicky noise but i noticed it only comes from the speakers on the left side of my truck. If I set it to where only the RH speakers are working, it stops. At first i thought it was my ipod but it does the same with my phone and everything else i plug in.

Well, this is weird, Once I installed the bluetooth vcim all the noise went away.

probably a resistor in that module that grounds it. good to go.
