Well I bought some new wipers last night and put them on. They are the Rain-X ones and it rained all day and they work GREAT!!! :dunno: Would recommend them if you are in need of wipers.

I have heard many good things about the rain x wiper blades

I got the Rain-X on everyone's recommendation and was VERY unimpressed for winter.. otherwise, they work great for regular rain..

I agree they are nice in wet weather,... but not when there's freezing rain or snow. At least for me. The factory set did better :dunno:

Kind of different topic but has anyone used the Rain X glass cleaner? I bought it the other day and used it and I don't feel as though it worked that great. Left this weird oily kind of streak I guess.

But I've used the Rain X wipers on my last truck and they did work pretty well in rain.

I have never used the glass cleaner, but the original RainX product (little yellow bottle) was applied almost like liquid wax, after application you had to let it dry then go back and buff it out, maybe that's what's needed?

I use Original RainX, after a couple applications it really helps minimize the need for wipers.

rain x wipers are too pricey for what they do, i think i got bosch blades on my truck and they do the job, not really expecting miracles out of strips of rubber lol

The original Rain-X in the yellow bottle, or "liquid gold" as I affectionately refer to it as is an absolute MUST for all my vehicles. Sometimes i'll see those poor saps with their Wipers on full blast and its barely drizzling and I think to myself "poor fella, he probably doesn't even know Rain-X exists" It's a night and day difference from the blur nightmare of an untreated windshield. Just apply with a paper towel and wipe off with another clean dry piece, the "film" comes off after the first rain, or if you wipe enough.

On Topic : I've never found aftermarket windshield wipers that can match OEM for performance or especially longevity. They always dry out and make that God awful wiper hop noise after about 5-6 months whereas my OEM's are still going strong at close to a year. I'm dreading the change over. I think I might just go to the dealer and buy some OEM's if I can, they're that much better.

I just went back to Wally-World and they did an even exchange on the wipers for another set. I hope this set works better for me cause the last set, I wasn't impressed.

Michelin Wiper BladesI bought a set of these for my S10 that I just traded in on the Silvy. Worked great, were on for over 18 months and still working fine. They will be going on the CC when she's ready for them.

These are what I use. Got a set for 10 bucks since they had a rebate form at their website if you bought them from walmart. even without it they were only 10 bucks or each whereas the rainx blades were almost double.

I use the rainx stuff that i dump in (and it mixes) with my windshield washer fluid. Works wonders, i barely use my wipers now.

You know you are right. I never thought about it but these OEM wipers are much better than other wipers I've had.

Consumer Reports did a wiper study and they claim ANCO wipers perform the best for your buck. They work on mine just fine but I am in California and have hot summer temps, 30 days a year in the 100 range that cook the rubber so each October I replace them.

I've used the OEM (of course), Rain-X, and Bosch. The OEM were best for me, Bosh 2nd and Rain-X 3rd (only because they're a pain to install). I called the dealer to get some OEM and they didn't stock them... apparently nobody ever buys them there. At $20 each, they're actually not that bad priced compared to the RainX and Bosch... although you can get those on sale. My 2 cents...
