Leveled And New Shocks

Hey I finally got my 2500 hd leveled and new monroe reflex shocks put on,Ride is great and can't wait to get bigger tires wheels.

Luck may have it that i found a set of the 17 inch stock 2500hd wheels /tire combo near me for sale and I'm gonna swipe them up monday.

Looks nice! I wish trucks would come from factory leveled. The low front end just doesnt look right, lol.

Thanks!!! there the 16 inch chrome clad with 245 75 16 and the ones I'm getting are the 17 inch alloy 265 70 17

 

Stewy I totally agree why don't they do this straight from the factory.....I mean it's not like it's something new.

People have been doing this for decades.

What brand leveling kit did you use and was it difficult to install? Were your stock shocks worn out already?

The reason they are not level when they leave the factory is that they allow for trailering. When the trailer is installed it levels the truck. Since you have leveled your truck, you are going to get a lot of oncoming traffic flashing their lights when you tow. Here in texas they call it the Texas Tilt.

What brand leveling kit did you use and was it difficult to install? Were your stock shocks worn out already?

 

No leveling kit just had the guys who installed the shocks crank the torsion bar about an inch and a half.

My stock shocks were not worn out I just wanted the Monroe reflex and it changes the ride to a more sure but not stiff yet stable ride.

I'm like you couldn't wait but fortunately I found a place to swap out my stock 16's for a set of stock 17's with 50 miles on them that someone took off to put custom wheels on.

The older trucks "99 and before" needed some serious leveling in the front. There was like only 2-3" above the tire in the front and I never liked the look of front on the older trucks.
