I ordered a set of 315 bfg km2s for my truck yesterday. I've been reading a lot of reviews on them, but I can't seem the find the tread wear life for them. I know it depends on the truck, rotating the tires, etc... But I hear from 10k to up to 50k. Can someone give me a good guesstimation about of many miles I can get out of them from my truck? Thanks

Thanks, I do feal a lot more confident with them now. I have owned my truck for 2 years, had have put 12k on it. So they shouldn't wear down quick.

How often should I get them aligned? I would think more than usual since I have ford keys, and they are cranked a good bit, so thats a rougher ride.

Aligned? Do you mean rotated?? I wouldn't get an alignment unless you damage the truck or notice shaking/wandering. As far as rotating, 20k km is the most recommended number I have heard. I rotate mine every oil change.

You can't really do anything about the wear, new keys throw out the angles which gives you positive(i think) camber, in other words you are tilting your spindle outwards. This means the outer edge of the front tires will always wear faster than the inside. All you can do is rotate alot, but the wear will still occur, you will just keep it even between all 4 tires.

Edit: as far as I know the only way to not increase your tire wear is with a non torsion crank lift.

So a wheel alignment won't help? Also my tires are leaning in (top is leaning in), rather than the them leaning out like it used to when I first cranked them. Thanks

If your truck is aligned... and you rotate your tires about every 5-7000 miles, they will last easily 50,000 miles. I've had them on all my trucks :shakehead:
