rsfoster Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Well I just sold my truck that I've had for the last ten years and I have to admit I'm prety sad about it. At least it should serve the new owner well in its next life working in the oil fields. I've got two days to get through and then I'll have a great day when the new one arrives!
2009SierraZ71 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 That's a nice looking truck. Congrats on the new one. Hopefully it'll serve you as good as or better than your last one.
jro909 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 atleast now hopefully it won't have to go far for gas
RyanbabZ71 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 2 days isnt bad, I sold mine and had to wait 3 months. That sucked not having a truck for that long.
rsfoster Posted March 22, 2010 Author Posted March 22, 2010 I remember seeing that thread from you on your wait I don't know how you made it through that.

New trucks are nice but the old one holds a lot of memories. I sold my old one to my son so it's still in the family. Not so bad that way...
mato27 Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 You'll forget about it when the new one arrives. Be sure to post pics of the new one, Congrats
ryan_hermanutz Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 My condolences, at least you will have something to relieve the pain and suffering in a couple days.
2005LT Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Yeah, it's always a bit of a let down selling an old truck. Enjoy your new one when it arrives.
99silveradoz71 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 It definitely can be rough getting rid of a reliable ride
Spurshot Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I found it took me a while to realize the new truck was really better in a lot of ways. Some things were much worse, like tuning. But, after a yr of messing with the new truck, tuning, tires, shocks, swaybars.... it seems to be a nicer truck than the old one now. I still have my old 99 GMT800 2500 and drive it occasionally. Not quite as glamorous as my mind recalls it.
