Does anyone have any other deals for XM like the $77 dollar deal they ran last year? My service is up for renewal and I really do not want to drop the 150 bucks on it. But something like the $77 deal would be great.

So whats the word on the street? Or are the days of those deals gone?

I have sirius, I called and told them I was done and would drop their service because the price keeps jumping up. They called me back with a week offering a sweet deal. They should be happy to work to keep customers, just tell them you are not paying 150 big ones and see if they cut you a deal on the phone, or wait a few days/week they will call or mail the heck out of you. At least they did me! even gave me a starmate 5 free!

Funny you should ask. My son-in-law and I just came back from Toronto whith his 07 GMC cc he bought there. While I was driving it back he got on his cell and called XM. He bought a lifetime package for 349.00. It's not advertised, you have to ask. You are allowed 3 transfers to another radio and a fee of 25.00 for each transfer..

I just renewed mine. $88 . I'd bet I could have negotiated the $77 deal again since it costs them nothing to keep you, but I'm not going to argue over the phone for $11. Just call and say you're not interested in the renewal at the quoted price... you'll quickly get the new standard $88 "deal".

Yeah, I had XM I could never get them to bill me correctly. I live in Mississippi our tax rate is 7%. They kept billing me for 7 1/2%. But that was not reason I dropped my service. The have gone up and up.. But they changed their programing to what sirus has on some stations. Completely dropped the 3 stations I listened to. And after my 3rd receiver. I was starting to get pissed about that. I was on XM for 2 years... They offered me the lifetime thing for 22x when I dropped the service.... They didn't ever tell me about the 3 radio limit. I found it on the internet.

But I only called to drop 2 times. Both times they extended my service for 6mo's....... 2nd time I was intent on dropping so the 3 drop call I DID DROP.

Need less to say I wasn't happy.

Just received a letter from xm offering me 5 months for $20. Thinking about getting it again.

Yep....call a few weeks before renewal if you already have it and tell them the sad tale, they'll pony up right away with a new offer. I have to do the deed in June.

Since I got my service I have been completely happy with it./ Neatest thing is being able to enjoy the same music over several hundred [or thousand] without interruption....Bluesville ALL DAY LONG!

I'm still in my first year. I got the $77 renewal last year.. or maybe it was $88. Don't remember but it was alot cheaper than reg rate. When it's time for me to renew in a few months I'll just call ahead and tell them I won't be renewing. Hopefully they'll give me a better price and I'll renew. If not then bye bye XM. I have an ipod for a reason.

my buddy had xm, and it took him 3 hours to cancel, cuz they kept hanging up on him, almost like they were trained to do that. thats the only thing holding me back from signing back up for it again. 5 months for 20 bucks is a pretty good deal i think

Whichever way you go for a "deal" just don't give then a credit card number. They will automatically bill the card for the regular rate at the regular renewal date. Once you get a good price, ask that you be sent an invoice so you can pay by check.

Good tip! I paid with credit card when I signed up for my 1st year

Up here, the deal they offer is $10 per month so $120 per year. I'll have to twist their arm a little and see if they can do better.

Your right... I'm still connected and have no clue what they are charging me.... My fault. I never get around to checking my account statements.

I did the lifetime deal for 3xx (can't remember the exact number). I've had the same Delphi SkiFi for the past five years, still works fine. I love XM man. Willie's Place is awesome.
