Found Subwoofer Output For '05 Sierra

'05 sierra w/ bose; this 'should be' the same in '03-'06 models

 

take out the cupholder in the console; trace the wires on the right side coming out of the amplifier. if you peel back the tape, you'll find two pairs of speaker wires (twisted around each other) that do not run back through the harness attached to the console. these are the sub wires.

 

 

in reference to my other post about a volume problem w/ my subs, it was an issue w/ the line out converter being set to RCA inputs instead of 'wired' inputs. That solved the problem. However, using the sub outputs from the bose amp bring the problem back slightly. The rear speaker wires seemed to provide a more balanced input making it easier to fine tune. Using the sub outputs makes it harder to balance the levels between sources (fm, xm, cd, aux input ipod, . . ).

 

It definitely provides more "thump" using the bose sub outputs. the bose crossover keeps the lowest levels off the rear speakers.
