Is anyone having trouble with the OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics? we haven't got our Email yet, and every time I go to check the Website, it says 'Our attempts to run a diagnostic check on your vehicle were unsuccessful. If your dashboard indicator light is on, push your blue OnStar button.' do you think there's something wrong with the VCIM or maybe somethings wrong at the OnStar Call Center?

I had the ssame type of thing happen. When I was having them set up the OnStar I hung up on the call not realizeing you needed to stay connected unitil they tell you to hang up. I had to push the Blue button again to get them to set it up right. Then it had no problem connecting. I don't really know if that helps but that was my experience.

I got my first email, but I tried going to their site for a more updated reading and it gave that message... it may be that my truck is in the second basement of a 10 story building.... I wonder if it uses satellite or the phone system? the OnStar phone does work from where it's parked (where my cell phone doesn't) but I"m sure satellite communication is not possible.

the problem with your theory is we park ours out in the open air, where the satellites can get a VERY Clear Signal from the truck! and I read one if the stipulations for OnStar to Upload the Data it needs, and it HAS to have the Engine Running to Upload. We just did 120 Miles today going to Nashville for a Dr. appointment, and the site is STILL Saying 'oops, we can't get a signal!' so I'm starting to think that there's a problem at OnStar.
