Thinking About Getting A 4 Door S/c 3800

Well I'm thinking about spending my tax return on a 10 year old or so 4 door car that has some get up an go. I need something that is nicer and easier to drive clients around looking at homes.

 

I can't stand the red interior lights and gauges on the Pontiac GTP, so that is out. So I think I'm looking at a Regal GS.

 

Anyone know if there are some known issues I need to look for? Only mods I would do is a pully and tune. I'm not going to be racing the thing.

Isn't the SS Impala a 3800 S/C from those years?? May be something else to take a look at.

No real issues I have heard of. I know the whole engine family had intake gasket problems in the N/A versions. But I haven't heard much in the way of complaints from the S/C versions.

actually, the V6s with the Intake Gasket Problems were the 3100 and the 3400. the 3800s were not even affected.

I don't know if 13's are easy, but low 14's are an easy goal I have.

Tune, 3.4" pulley, free flowing exhaust, air intake, good tires, I think its probable. Great car none the less. I love them.

I've seen them with reasonable mileage around 5K.
