Note:- This was copied and pasted so I cannot attest to the accuracy of it:

Tires and shocks mostly. Driving lights in the lower front valaince, G80 locking rear diff (aka Timex locker),

The tires were a slightly more aggresive tread All Terrain, and the shocks were over priced Bilstien. and a Skid plate package

The interior trim was either LS or LT, (badge on "B" pillar") LS being cloth seats, base radio( several options to this) dash cluster had fewer gauges. 4x4 actuation was dependant on trim level, push button selection, on both trim levels LS and LT, LT having the "autoride" option offering selectable automatic full time 4x4, VS 2hi .4hi amd 4lo

LT was leather, full gauge package, Uplevel stereo package, better HVAC controls. most likely to have power windows and locks, XM option, OnStar,

The Work truck (WT) 4x4 were vinyl seats, usually no carpet but a rubber mat, inner door panels were plastic, no power windows, 4x4 as floor mounted stick.

There are caveats and exceptions to any and all of this

G80 was not a part of the Z71 package till 2004.

A 2001 would have the red tenneco shocks, skid plate, special jounce bumpers, high efficiency air cleaner and 4 wheel drive. and probably off road tires. And off course the Z71 decals.Thats all. No trim or any other accessories. Your Z71 may have these things but they were a part of other option groups.

MS3DALE can cover it a little better than I can.

You may have seen many Z71s with a locker but it was not a part of the Z71 package until 2004. The G80 was a stand alone option and many trucks had it. I have seen many Z71s WITHOUT the locker before 04. I got my information from MS3DALE who is a 20 year GM parts manager. And I worked in a GM dealership in 05 and 05.

Starting in 2004 the G80 was not listed in the Z71 package but was listed in the PDL offload package required by the Z71 package.

Yeah, I know it, but somebody has to tell them how it is on occasion. And I got nothing better to do right now.

my 01 Z-71 didn`t have the G80 option until I swapped one in from my 2000 parts truck.
