Zero Rate or Helper Springs?

My 95 K1500 has the typical GM rear end sag going on.  Would my money be better spent on some helper springs or a zero rate add a leaf kit?  Or perhaps both?

What I did was to add a extra leaf on each side(a friend had some lying around)that brought the back up 1.5",didn't have to drop the rear to do it either,just remove the two u bolts and the leaf centering bolt and shove it in and bolt everything back up.

I would go with adding a spring to your main spring pack...

Yes they will add to your sprung weight and make the truck ride a little worse, but it's a truck...

Contact overloads are fun to install, cost $$$, and only help you when your rear-end it already on its way down... resulting in a better ride..

Hellwig helpers I haven't seen or messed with so no comment there.

Air bags are always a good way to go...but there is maintenance involved...but they are unsprung with no air and are adjustable to your weight your carry..

Delray, was wondering what the springs were out of that you installed? Is there an aftermarket add a leaf that would lift the rear 1.5" and not just help after it starts to sag? Thanks for the info guys.

If Your up to spending the money, a new or lightly used set of 3/4 or 1 ton springs may be a viable solution.  I have done this to several 1/2 ton trucks and have been pleased with the results.
