A/c Squeal

I have a high pitch squeal coming from my AC clutch ,anyone else have this problem?

Never heard a squeal from a clutch ... but have heard plenty of belts do that when the compressor kicks on. But, just because I never heard it doesn't mean it's not possible -- learned that a looooong time ago!

 

Make sure the belt is in good condition & has the proper tension. If it is indeed the clutch squealing, then more than likely the pulley bearings need replacing on the compressor. They'll usually chirp when the A/C is off .... unless they get so bad that the pulley is wobbling all over the place & spitting out bearings .... but that scenario is usually an easy diagnosis. Check it all anyway.
