Level Kit And Lift Blocks Installed

Finally had some free time this morning so I decided to install the Rough Country 2" kit and the Readylift 3" blocks in the rear. Compared to my old '86 GMC, working on this thing was a treat- nuts weren't seized, it was pretty clean etc... Easy job as well; I think most people could do this with basic hand tools. Unfortunatly my impact packed it in right at the start- the U-bolts were a bitch. Other than that pretty straight forward. Took off that stupid lower valance as well. Really happy with the results, it looks as it should have from the factory.

Thanks guys. I replaced the rear blocks and did not stack them. Now I need to decide on the N-fab vs the Go Rhino nerf bars, though I may be stuck with the N-fab as I can't seem to find a Go Rhino dealer out here. How do you like you bars, Matt? I know there is a good comparison in a post from a few months ago on this forum, but I am still undecided.

I think summit racing deals in go rhino got a set of steps from them for my friends jeep.... Another question. I am looking to get the same type of set up I have an 08 silverado. was looking into the ranch quick lift and the rear spring. I am going to be getting the 18'' z71 wheels what size tire did you fit on yours? I also will be going for the bfg a/t.

+1 nice lookin truck

Also wondering about your tire size... and how you like the bfg a/t's as far as road noise and winter traction. And are you just using your stock rear shocks?

Thanks guys. Tire size is stock- 265/65-18. Installed the BFG's before I took it off the dealer's lot. I think the tire are pretty good- handles snow and rain well and doesn't get too cut up on old logging roads. They also wear really well. No noise from the tires that I notice. I did not get longer shocks and I had it up in the bush last week; didn't notice any issues there. The height is ok, but I think I may go with a body lift down the road as a lot of guys here have done, some cool looking trucks on this site. I almost think the best part was ripping off that stupid lower valance.

Just got done lifting my 2010 Z71 Silverado. I ordered the 2.25" leveling kit from readylift but only installed the top strut spacer which is equivalent to 1.5" lift. I am wanting to clear 285-65-R18 BFG AT's with this setup. I also installed ready lift's 2" rear block. Tire Barn will have my tires in tomorrow (12/11/2010). I'm hoping they fit, if they do not, then I will go back home and add the additional ready lift spacer to achieve 2.25" lift up front. If I do this then I will probably order the 3" block for the rear and sell the 2" block kit. I will post pictures when done. Keep you guys posted...
