Bug Shield For All Terrain

I just bought a 2010 Sierra SLT All Terrian. I am looking to add a bug shield. Does it take a special kind to fit over the chrome that is actually a part of the hood, but looks like part of the grille? I am also going to be adding window visor's. The truck is the Pure Silver Metallic, do you think chrome or smoke for these accessories would be best? I guess I should mention, that I have already added the 6" tubular chrome assist steps. I don't want to overdo the chrome.

In my opinion a chrome bug guard just looks cheap. If you must add these plastic accessories (I would not) then I'd definitely go with the smoke. GM makes one that works with the factory grille shell well.

Enjoy that nice new truck!

I would go with the 'smoke' but thats up to you. That always looks good on trucks. I have a Lund deflector on my truck but its a 2003 so wouldn't apply to your truck. But might want to take a look and see if they offer anything for your truck.

Thanks for your opinion. I do a lot of highway driving, day & night. The bug shield is for just for that....bugs! (And the occassional flying rocks) lol As for the visor's....my husband smokes. He does crack the window, the visor is for when it rains. I have asked him not to smoke in my new truck......but he paid for it, so I don't get a vote :~( Thanks again, I will check out the GM shields.

I have an All Terrain also, for GMC you have two options of fitment type, one that covers the the chrome on the hood and the other that sits high that exposes the chrome. I wanted a frown look on mine so I went with the "low" version which covers the chrome, kind of a boser look. The one I purchased was a Stampeded brand name in smoke.

There's nothing special about the hood deflector on an All-Terrain as compared to any other Sierra.... so anything for a GMT900 Sierra will fit your truck.

Personally I have the smoked GM bug deflector on mine, and it's fine.

I would go with smoked and either GM brand, or Weather Tech, IMO weather tech products are some of the best out there, the bug shield and vent visors my dad had on his old avalanche still look like new today after 7 years of exposure to the elements
