Maxxis Bighorn's?

Time to trade in the Yokohama Geolander's for some better tires!

We went to our tire guy and he reccomended some tire called a "mud claw" and then he reccomended the Maxxis Bighorn's. We'll probably be getting the Bighorn's in 285/75/16. They have a nice agressive look but are not a full on mud terrain.

My question is. Do they hum bad at high speed? How long will they last? Are they good in mud?

Well, if they are anything like the buckshot, they will be loud, but will be good in the mud. Have you looked at Goodyear duratracs, Kelly Safari TSRs, or Dunlop Maxx Traction. Those are good tires that have an aggressive tread pattern but aren't full on mts

Kelly Safari TSRs....I heard they didn't last long at all.

Got em on my truck, and I love em... Very quiet and handle great on any terrain

I have the off-brand of them on my old suburban (summit mud dawg) exactly the same tread pattern and have over 55K on them. I rotated ever 5 k. Then drive great and do great in the mud, id buy them again hands down!
