Build Stages?

How long does it take from order to build? I'm curious what stages it goes through. I guess I'm being impatient, but the dealer told me that my order was pulled August 14th.

mine was the following

 

Ordered saturday 3-11-00

Ordered accepted by gm 3-14-00

Truck was built 4-6-00 (it was started on monday and completed testing on thursday)

Truck arrived on dealers lot 4-10-00

 

Less than a month for me

I just got the heads up, that my truck will be built

on 9/16.

 

If you got yours within four days of testing, you

probably live pretty close to an assembly plant?

Jason--what kind of truck (1500, 2500?) did you order and what special options?   I should hear on my SON this week. Last week they said could be 3 weeks up to 12 weeks.

I guess you can say that.  I live in NW indiana.  I bought my truck in NE indiana in angola (long story).  My truck was built at the fort wayne truck plant less than 30 min away (and i still had to pay the frickin $665 destination fee)

It was a 1500 Z71 Fleetside Ext Cab. As far as options go, it's basically an LT, but minus the leather and that XM satellite radio. Otherwise it's pretty much loaded... I hate being so anxious.
