New 2010 Storm Gray Metallic

6.2 6-speed with NHT and E-brake

Same options as mine minus sunroof

Transferring my Denali grill, wheels/tires, GM step bars, tonneau cover, Bedrug, Chrome tow hooks, mud flaps and chrome handles.

$20 more payment, obviously extending the loan.

Would you trade my truck for that?

It would depend on how far im payed Down. Am I one year into my payments or two.

How much are you losing...How much are they winning.

:rollin:..

If I was a 7 months or less into my payments I'd Say Yes!!!...

Steven, I know you have the "new car" bug and it's hard to resist

But,

DON'T DO IT!!!

Why would you want another 5 year loan

I have been thinking of the kind of same thing. I looking at an 08 Sierra Denali that is silver/light gray color which is fully loaded. Only has 31000 miles and my truck has 28000 miles so that is pretty even. When I got my truck I wanted that color but got the black because that is what I got the best deal with but the denali is looking really good IMO. I would do what Matt did and add a 3" body lift and my gunner 6 wheels and bfg tires.

IN your case I would highly thing about it. If you don't mind paying a couple years longer than go for it.

I'm leaning towards no... I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and really don't want to extend my payments. Just tempting as hell.

Since you have the Vmax I think I would try to stick with it. Though I start thinking about the same thing every three years. Sometimes I can hold it off but then it just comes back.

Must...stay...away...from...dealership.... :rollin:

Save up a little and pay cash. Anyone financing a vehicle needs their head examined. Never finance a depreciating asset.

So, the vast majority of people buying trucks are doing it wrong?

How many people have 30-60K laying around to pay cash for a vehicle?

People that know how to make a budget & stick to it. You will be supprised how easy it is to save 40k for a new vehicle if you build & stick to your budget.

Everyones financial situations are different. AND there is more than one right answer. Don't assume that just because someone is financing a vehicle that they don't know how to make good financial decisions and hold a budget.

Sometimes its as easy as financial security to finance instead of draining 40k out of your savings to buy a vehicle. Once you buy that vehicle, the 40k is gone... IMO (that's right,, OPINION) I think it makes more sense to put a decent down payment on a new vehicle, get a low interest rate and make payments all while retaining a hefty savings account for that "rainy day".

...now back on topic....

Steven... whens the new truck coming home? :idiot:

If you can afford the vehicle payments then you can afford to save the 30k+ for a new vehicle................. If you have patience

The point that Won is trying to make is that when you finance you take a double hit. You pay interest on the loan and your vehicle looses value.

If you finance a 30k car you pay almost 5k in finance charges..... If you pay cash then you save that 5k...........
