whizbanger1 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Can you order a truck without it? I don't like where they put the antenna on my 07. The other day I saw a new truck w/o the antenna over the drivers door but there was a small one on the roof, centered in the back. I would rather install my own antenna for Xm if the factory still mounts them in front. Thanks.
MS3DALE Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 Yes,They have both XM & On-Star delete options,However they are generally for fleet orders and might not be available for regular customer or stock type orders.
whizbanger1 Posted June 17, 2010 Author Posted June 17, 2010 How big are the mounting hole(s) for the antenna?

I believe you are right about that one Rich. I remember reading somewhere that the credit they gave for deleting both the On Star and XM on GMT900 trucks was only a fraction of what GM would normally charge for these features if they were optional. I have the XM radio in my truck and it was I believe a $ 350 option and OnStar was even more, something like $ 650 (do not have that). So one had to spend about $ 1,000 to get OnSTar and XM on a 2006 GMT800 truck.

a42887 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 My brand new 2010 GMC Sierra has the delete option, and I bought it right off a dealer's lot. However, it is a Work Truck model, albeit with Power Locks, Cruise, etc.

Haha what else is new. Less options for more money.
