Time For Lower Ball Joints- Gmt-900

Had the uppers replaced last year...most likely from the leveling kit ( and the very heavy 18" rims and load E BFG'S i used to run) and have had no problems since. But now the truck has a "wandering" feeling to the steering and i get a clunk when turning into a parking spot. I jacked it up yesterday and put a pry bar between the lower control arm and the CV housing and felt a bit of play on both sides. Called a few places and parts are available and unlike the uppers i can just buy a ball joint with out the control arm. I hear that these have to be pressed into the control arm....is this hard to do in the driveway? any idea as to how long replacing both sides will take?

Yeah, they appear to be pressed in. If you have access to a small shop press you could probably DIY it, but a shop would be faster.

Just curious, do the replacements you found have grease fittings on them (unlike the OE parts)?

from my last vehicle i did a balljoint in... i was able to get it.. but it sucked. later my father bought a 20 ton hydraulic jack from harbor freight... that made them easier.

btw, i grew up just west of flint!
