04 Air Conditoning Doesn't Work

Hi. I have a 04 Yukon XL and the compressor doesn't turn on. I have tried hi and low pressure switches, controller in the dash, fuses, relays. If i jump the relay the air conditioner contacts it works. The activation contact of the relay has 12v but the other contact does not ground it, if i ground it with a wire the compressor works. Would anyone have any ideas on what is wrong? Thank you for any help Roger.

LOL true but i dont think it would cycle..

  Of course that would be false. You could have had one welded into your stock pan if you could find someone who did TIG welding.

  I was recently given a cheap winch for my trailer and I’m going to build a front receiver hitch so that I can use it on my truck also. It is a 13,500lb Sinoking winch with synthetic rope and wireless remote. It is mounted on a Badland hitch mount. The lower plastic was removed from my truck several years ago when I built a custom tube framed skid plate for it. The hitch will be tucked up close to the bumper and hopefully I can add a 2” square tube to the back of the skid plate to fit it into the hitch to hide the hitch when it’s not being used. More pictures to come.

  Every place on the hi-way is up , lowest is the truck stop, $3.93/ 87, the others haven't broken the $4 barrier yet but getting damned close. Lowest diesel $5.73. I haven't checked local yet but I bet they are over the $4 mark. I've been shopping for a type C motorhome and trying not to buy a Ford, found a couple diesels but the price of fuel is scary
