S&b Intake: Decent?

I have an opportunity to obtain a S&B cold air intake for an ok deal of about $170 The online shops go from $265-$295.

 

What's your take on them.

 

The off road shops when i called slammed it but was that bc they only sell K&N?

Have the S&B CAI on my truck. I like it alot sounds good and seems to hold up well

The way several off road shops were talking about it they made it seem like it's the most horrible intake a person could buy. I tried to explain that with the design that the differences are miniscule but they explained firmly that k&N spends millions on the design and no other company can match that.

 

Now granted they prob do but is it enough to notice, really? Maybe at the track but would it be that much of a difference between the two during daily driving?

S&B intakes are far superior over k&n (especially in the diesel world) I would not hesitate to buy one over a k&n intake any day. They have a much better look to them also, IMO.
