P0336 Crankshaft Position Sensor Performance

I have 99 silverado with 5.3 that under load (heavy acceleration or hills etc) misses and stumbles between 2500 and 3000 rpm (depending on load). This started about the time i replaced my fuel pump so i beleive that i have low fuel pressure from a cheap aftermarket pump. I plan on returning the pump this weekend for a replacement (though hopefully i don't have to buy a new brand)

I threw the P0336 this morning and want to double check if you all agree that the CKP code was thrown because of the misfire due to low fuel pressure and not the CKP causing the engine to stumble. I'm only getting about 52 PSI with KOEoff.

Anyone know the exact specs for fuel pressure on these engines. It runs fine during normal driving.

When was the last time you changed/checked your plugs? A misfire sounds more like your plugs or in your case the fuel pump. HTH.

recently http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/index.php?...c=106647&hl is more about it. I just want to know if P0336 is a resultant of another problem or the CKP itself in others opinions. I have mine, and i should just go out and fix it but stuck at work and would rather... well you know.
