Running Board Help !

Hey guys I have some major running board rust\deterioration and I was wondering if anyone had idea on a easy fix. I am up for all ideas and I just don't want this rust to spread to my floor boards. It all started with a small rust spot and after that it quickly became this mess. I might have it professionally fixed since the truck is paid off for and i recently replaced the trans. There is nothing wrong with the truck other than this rust and there is no rust anywhere else. Thanks in advance!

You're gonna have to take that to a body shop so they can cut out the rocker panel and weld another in and paint it.
