I was wondering if it is possible to change my regular factory ac controls to the dual ac controls? I have an 09 silverado crew cab. thanks. Also what other cool upgrades are there that I can add? I have already done the dic upgrade. thanks.

Correct me if im wrong but a buddy at the Chevy dealer told me the auto controls wouldnt work in a standard ac controlled truck because it was missing two sensors somewhere in the truck as I was hoping to add all the options like DIC, fog lights, auto dual ac, etc when I bought my truck to save money on options up front and add them as I can

Correct. There is an ambient temperature sensor in the headliner just above the left side of the drivers head.

So one above the drivers head, where is the other and is it just like everything else, the wiring is there just not the sensors?

I think I remember reading somewhere that it is in front of the radiator. I dont think the wiring is there as it is a lot more involved tha adding 2 sensors and changing out the controls. At least from what I have read! My truck has the dual so I naven't looked into messing with it.

Kind of off topic and I have no idea about adding dual controls but I was wondering if anyone had tried to add the rear overhead vents from a suburban to their headliner. I road in a rented suburban this weekend and it was really nice to have those.
