I have a silverado crewcab with the ebony cloth interior, can anyone tell me if the newest seat covers are an improvement over my original?

My dealer says he can't replace it for me. So before i call customer assistance is it worth the fight or should i just pay up and get Katzkins??

Thanks Kevin

I purchased leather, not Katzkins and I am very happy with them. I installed myself, but you could always have someone else do it for you. These were about $450, half of what Katzkins cost. I even added heat to them. I have the direct source that you can contact http://custominteriorsus.com/ I spoke with both Mark and Cheryl and they were both helpful. Here is a link I posted on fullsize showing the end results. http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=197465

that's a great price, and it looks great, was it really hard to do? i am pretty handy so i may try it myself if they want too much.

Getting the seats out was easy, recovering was not so easy. No hog clips or special tools required, just patience. There are little clips that keep the seams pulled tight, I used my fingers and a small flat blade to unhook and rehook clips. It is hard to explain, but once you tear into it, it is pretty clear what needs to be done. Eveything inside those seats is sharp, my knuckles were plenty bleeding by the time I was done. I added heat to mine, that is the time to do it if you want that sort of thing. I would do it again if I had to. I used this as a guide even though it is for a GMT800, enough similarity. http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread...hlight=katzkins .

LT2 Center Console. I set an alert on Ebay to notify me via email of everytime something with the word "console" was listed. I got the alert and bought it immediatley. I had been doing enough research I could Identify the difference of the LT2 and the LTZ by looking at it. I did the "Buy Now" option instead of trying to be high bidder. The console came out of a totaled vehicle, I was picking glass out of it for an hopur once I opened the box, even still, very happy with it.

My carpet install if anyone is interested...

The LT ebony cloth in a 2009 is the same as the LT2 premium cloth in the 2008. The 2010 LT has a different fabric around the perimeter of the seats. The 2010 does not seem to collect lint and hair as bad as the 2008 & 2009 LT's do.

Wow, they must have been really bad then, because I am unhappy with my 2010---wish I had the titanium again. I have to vacuum it every week and I haven't even had the dogs in it yet!! That's just me driving to work in clean scrubs. Where does all the hair come from???

I don't know, but it's crazy when i get back from a trip with my yellow lab. If it is no better then i will upgrade to the leather next.

My Golden Retriever has been condemned to riding in her crate in the bed of the truck. My experience has been that the 2010 LT black upholstry does not attract and retain dog hair as badly as the 08 & 09 LT upholstry. But you still end up with a collection of dog hair inside the cab that needs to be cleaned out. I guess I need a upholstry that matches the color of a Golden Retriever. I know my dog would much happier riding in the cab of the truck.

haha! Well, I can tell you having a yellow interior won't help ya'. I have a blk/wht border collie and the black hairs show up just as bad on the black interior. They, somehow, did not look or stick as bad on the grey interior in the 08.
