Modern Warfare 2 Rant

To those of you who play this game online probably already know what my rant is going to be about. This game online has gotten out of control with all the no skilled camping pussies using the M203 along with the bullshit perks such as One Man Army + Danger Close.

I have played this game since it was released, and play it a lot online with buddies.

When the M203/One Man Army or Scavenger/Danger Close perk was discovered, it was manageable to take down the one **** using that gun package rollout. Now that everyone has caught on, EVERY SINGLE PERSON USES THIS GARBAGE. It doesn't make the game fun anymore....they camp on a post with claymores at their back while waiting to grenade launch, switch kits, and continue with the same gun package rollout.

I like to play Domination because it forces the camper to get off his post to go capture a point if he wants to get his rank up. I can't imagine how terrible it is to play Team Deathmatch with this garbage they call a gun. I also am the type of player to run around and not camp, which pisses me off even more when I get killed by a camper with that gun package.

It may just be a video game, but it WAS a damn fun game that does require skill if you want to win and not use the **** noob tube. I cannot believe Infinity Ward hasn't nerfed the M203 and the perks people use with it. It needs to be done.

Feel free to comment, whether you want to bash me b/c its a stupid video game or if you agree.

i too have played all the CODs since they came out, mw2 is pure shit now...seeing as there is no dedicated servers, its quite easy to mod and hack the game...with inifinity ward pretty much dead there will be no support for the game besides one more map pack..i quit playing for various reasons(i'll list them below) and went back to cod4, i have high hopes for black ops as treyarch supports their games like mad....

keep in mind i play hardcore but yeah

1) mods/hackers

2) retarded spawns

3)light weight kit pussys that spam the ump

4) overused guns, acr and the ump are so over used

5) boosters

6) team killers...yeah its great that if i get team killed it counts against me

7) newb tubers+one man army kits and or 203/thumper gang bangs with scavanger

8) campers, specially the dildos that sit and camp to get a nuke....

9) horrible map rotations, i went on a 3 hour bender of bouncing between vacant, strike and then quarry wtf

yeah i pretty much am burned out on mw2, loved it when it came out but when a game isen't supported and is easily exploited then the company should be offering refunds, its like buying a brand new car and then the dealer telling you hey you already spend X amount of dollars and if it breaks oh well its your problem

Perhaps putting down the controller for a while would ease your stress... You know, go outside and do something.

I've thought about it. I get off work a few hours before my gf does and need something to kill time. After she's home I dont play really.

and yes, all those things you listed suck. especially the boosters.

MW2 is a big pile of dog shit now. When I first got the game I couldn't get enough of it. When the first map pack came out I started to get bored with it. I stopped playing for a month and then got back on and bought the 2nd map pack. Like everyone else has said, the game is campers galore. Everybody and their momma has rpgs, thumpers, noob tubes, and know how to glitch out of the maps. The game just isn't fun anymore because of all the bull shit. I just hate spawning and then taking two steps and getting owned. The worst thing on MW2 are freakin' thermals! People just sit in a corner looking across the map through their scope and shoot people. All I do is snipe and I usually make it my goal to own people with thermals during a game. BTW who has PS3?

I play on 360 and i like it but i do get sick of the campers. I use my grenade launcher when it will save me or my teammate and if they guys are camping from a distance in groups but i don't run around just using it. It is an effective weapon and not all that unrealistic with it's use. I get sick of the little kids that cheat at stuff also...

havent played this game in months. first one was really good (who didnt get chills when that nuke went off?), second one was really good too. i stopped playing it before all this started happening though (i picked up mass effect 2 and am working on my second playthrough on that). i actually started playing halo again- cant believe i am considering how much i despised this game too.

looking forward to black ops too though.

haven't touched MW2 in months. You should try Battlefield Bad Co 2. Waaay better than MW2. You actually have to work as a squad (and team overall) if you want to win, and the point system isn't based purely off of kills. You have medics who can heal, assault who can replentish ammo, engineers to fight off (and fix) armored vehicles/aircraft. The maps are huge compared to MW2. I was playing everyday in June, but now that I'm back on the east coast I don't have as much time to play.

I have played BC2, but I didnt play with any friends. So no one was playing as a team, and all everyone did was snipe my ass from across the map. I guess just a little more time would have told me it was better.

I haven't played MW2 since the beginning of June. Gotten tired of it & with all the 10th Prestige's hackers. Plus, with all the BS on that game. All I have played lately is NCAA Football 11! That game is very addicting.

@ STILLEN- Get a 360 man.

i play maybe an hour or two a day, most of my time is spent outdoors working so sitting inside is a nice vacation from the heat and bugs........bad company 2 is not really that great of a game, i own it and i threw it in the corner after about a month, its sluggish and easily exploited, let alone dominated by players that are useless...medal of honor is also terrible, i'm in the beta and its not even worth renting, its bad company with a little more customization with very unbalanced weapons and crap problems like terrible lag issues in CBQ fighting..i play on 360, i mostly enjoy shooters but also play borderlands, red dead...recently picked up the sabetuor for 15 bucks which i think is well worth it..

I agree, i was verrry good at MW1(1.60 K/D ratio w a BUNCH of kills), but there is something about MW2 that makes it much more difficult, i think that the maps are just designed different, b/c i am always getting killed from behind by campers and ass's using the noob tube. I've switched to the 3rd person mode to get rid of some of the trash

I think most people who don't like it expected it to be or play like MW. Its not a run around and kill everyone by yourself kinda game. For instance you can't just send a tank into a town by its self and not expect it to be destroyed. You gotta send in some dismounts to pull security for it, and visa versa. Anyone with a military combat arms back ground could appreciate the team work aspect of the game.

    • In the 80's 90's I'd run Honda's 7,500 miles between changes using Red Line HP 5W20 and do it for hundreds of thousands of miles with issues. Back in the day it was an SAE 20 with the HTHS of a SAE 30 and SN add load. It was also very polar. Oxidation VOA was over 120. Besides those motors were SPFI and lean burn tech. I could have likely run it longer but never did.    We had a Toyota bought new I ran on Pennzoil's latest and greatest synthetic of the day with "Penthane". A made up word for a very low dose of PAO. Tried 7,500 mile OCI's in that Group III/VI chemistry and the rings tapped out at 90K. Rocker box wasn't as bad as the one Punch put up but it wasn't good either. Also a SPFI motor.    I'm around 3,750 across the board on these GDI monsters and the oil it tapped out by then usually on TBN/TAN crossover and color. Red Line HP Euro.    The AMSOIL SS brochures tell you to follow the OEM values for the service class but that it can be run up to 25K if monitored. I can't imagine what motor could go that distance and not tap out. I've never owned one.    Yes, I know. Lot's of people do. I'm just not going to be one of them.
    • I knew a guy in the early 80's that bought a new Monte Carlo and ran it a 100,000 miles without ever changing the filter or the oil. Just kept adding. It looked like that inside.
    • Good evening. I was lucky enough to get passed down to me a 2007 GMC LBZ that was my great uncle's. While the underside and rockers are more or less gone I feel like with time I can restore it to working order since it only has 110,000 miles and he put nearly every option he could get without getting the new body style since he did not trust DEF. So far I have done everything I can think of but when I put the key into the ignition nothing happens. I put 2 brand new batteries in it. Cleaned the terminals. Check all the fuses and relays and they all pass with my multimeter. I know I'm missing something that I just cant think of. The only odd thing is the OBD2 port works which makes me think its not the mega fuse. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    • Looks nice. I still have my 2000, 1500. Bought a 2025, 1500 for retirement. Feels solid. These trucks have a bad rap on the internet. My brother has a `24 1500, 5.3 with 52,000 miles. No problems at all. Mine hasn`t either but mine`s only at 12,700 miles. Have seen some of these things with 100,000 miles with no problems.
    • Howdy! New to the forum of course! My name is Casey, just picked up a 2024 high country midnight edition. First “new” truck in 24 years for me. Driving a 1998 Z71 since 2002. Have been on the GMT400 forum with lots of good info and help there. Nervous about driving these newer trucks and all their electronics…. Did a lot of work on the Z71 myself over the years. New truck is definitely a nice upgrade after 24 years. Photo of the old and new, still keeping the Z71 - has 320,000 miles on her and still running well!
