Went Down To The Hunting Lease Today...got Some Pretty Nice Pictures

Went down to Sparta, GA where my brother and I are members of a hunting lease. Things are looking pretty good for this coming deer season, did some scouting, etc.

 

Anyways, down to the good part... PICS!

stefman722: thanks for the compliments...yeah, those handles are pretty useful when people get in and out of my truck, i dont find myself ever using them very much, except for today. Its nice to see they get noticed.

 

savagecanuck1: the season here in GA opens in mid-late September i believe (not quite sure of the date haha), we still have a good wait ahead of us, we're also getting some food plots planted. Today i found 2 doe skeletons, its pretty amazing what you can find out in the thick stuff. I was really hoping to find a shed antler or two but didnt.

 

When you get yourself a big one, be sure to share some pics BTW, where are you located?

I killed a full velvet, non typical, forked drop tine buck back when I was in high school...

I go for the summer sausage or tenderloins but you cant really go wrong with how you cook it

Shot him dog hunting,, at 98 paces.. One shot... It was just his time.. Wish I woulda mounted em,, but when you are outta high school and about to start college,, who has money to get a deer head mounted..

Cut some up in 1" cubes, soak them in regular Coke (the drinking stuff) for about three hours, batter, and fry that. You'll be slapping somebody (leave yo' mama out of this!).
