07sltcrew Posted August 9, 2010 Posted August 9, 2010 First off, I have a GMT-900 07 Sierra SLT Crew. The issue (has happend maybe 3-4 in just over 7 months) is I will go to start my truck and it will fire up just fine and as the RPM's come down after start the truck will just die. I will start it again and it may or may not repeat. If it does repeat on the third attempt I will keep the gas pedal down to rev it around 3k. This one of the time worked and after running shut it off and no problem for months. This morning went out to start my truck and it repeated the issue. As usual on the 3rd restart i get it up to 3k and the truck still dies and put the pedal to the floor and nothing. 4th start repeat with trying to keep RPM's up and dies again. 5th start RPM's stay up and then idle's fine after that. Drive to work shut it off leave it for a couple seconds starts up with no problem after. I called the dealership and since I cannot repeat it they said wait till it happens and have it towed to them and they will try and see if they can repeat it and diagnose the problem. Things is i really dont want to have it towed over then it starts on the second try and they tell me nothing. I'm thinking fuel pump but not totally sure. Anybody have any ideas what I could potentialy try or have the dealer look at with out repeating the problem. Thanks
