Well I figured out what im gonna do with my crappy stock Sound system. Pull it all out. Ill be installing

 

Alpine cda117 head unit

blue tooth adapter- kce-400bt

steering wheel control kit pac-swi-jack

Onstar/chime kit

XM tuner and alpine interface.

Diamond audio d6 componets in front doors

Diamond audio d3 componets in rear doors

100 Square feet of B-Quite sound deadener in the doors and back wall and floor under rear seats.

2 10 Inch Image dynamics IDQ dual vioce coil subs in a subthump prefab box

400 watt Phoenix gold 4 channle amp

stinger 1 farad capacitor

1008 watt bazooka class h mono amp.

Rockford Fosgate dual amp wiring kit

So i started putting in my stereo system.

got the rear doors done. made a speaker plate and mounted the tweeters in the aftermarket grill. added lots of sound deadener (B-Quiet)

and sealed off the speaker pocket with foam tape.

 

made an amp mount for the rear wall. put the B-quiet accross the back and under the rear floor carpet.

I also figured out how to keep the stock USB port on the dash. Used a mini USB to USB adapter cable ,Removed the back of the connector and pluged it in,simple.

where you going to ground your amp to? Seatbelt bolt or have you found something better?

I scraped the paint from the floor and seat belt top and bottom then bolted the ground on top of the center belt. No noise.

 

I finished putting the deck in the dash, figuring out the blue tooth ,programing the steering wheel controls and mounting the Capacitor.

So far rear speakers and subs sound Amazing. I get my 30 feet of wire tomorrow so I can wire up and install the front speakers and deaden the doors.

The cable I used for the USB adapter didnt work. The USB only works if you use the Alpine cables (WTF?)

 

I didnt even need it . Blue tooth audio wirelessly transmits my music from my Iphone no cables needed. But it sounds better with the cable. Then I found out that I could get a High speed ipod cable that plugs in to the blue tooth module for faster searching and such. $10 off ebay.(on order) so the usb is obsolete.

I have a few questions.

How did you attach your amp board to the back wall?

Are you running tweeters in the back or just up front and are you amping them ?

Are you using one amp for all the door speakers?

Im running Diamond audio D3 components speakers in the rear. (woofer and Tweeter with external crossover) see pic in first post

Im running Diamond audio D6 components in the front . Powered by a 400 watt 4 chanel Phoenix Gold amp.

 

My system is now complete and installed. Every thing back together. It is seriously loud and sounds killer. The alpine cda-117 is an amazing head unit. Ive wired my subs at 8 ohms and the bass is super clean and hits hard. I had to buy new subs because the Image Dynamics were old and 1 of them had a tear in it. I went with 2 ohm Rockford Fosgste punch speakers. I only used about 40 feet of the B-Quiet sound deadener. Time to sell the rest on ebay.

 

I attched the amp board with 4 short screws at the top so they would not penatrate the back wall , only the lip from the sheet metal that hangs down. I also glued it to the back wall that is covered with sound deadener with Liquid Nails. Seems to be rock solid.

 

Next mod is going to be level the front and new 33 tires. Then give the stock tires to my Fiance.
