Ok i am sick of having black towels on the floor in my ext cab.  So i decide to call a local car and tuck accessory shop because i know they have some husky liners in stock.  Well they didnt have it but could get it fro me by tomorrow.  Here is the good part just for the rear husky floor liners (custom molded ones) theyy wanted $139.  WTF  ???

My jaw hit the floor and i hung up the phone.  PP.com has em for $63 and cabelas has em for $54.99.

And local shops wonder why they dont have good business MAYBE BECAUSE THEIR PRICES ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD ???

Sorry for complaining but this was insane.  Here is a sign for the local accessory shops

Don't know if you've had  them before or not Ryan but I didn't really care for the ones I had in my '93. They looked good and held water but that "custom fit" is BS because they will slide around more than you would think. Even an inch is a lot when it's under you feet all the time. That is unless they have improved over time. They also will loose their shape after you unknowingly drag your foot across the lip on the door side a few times.

Definately do!  I've been wanting to get one for the back of my truck.  I'd like to see how far back under the seat it goes.  I've heard it goes all teh way back.

Nowhere is that true-er than in SC!  My local shop charged me $325 INSTALLED (plus tax) for a FIPK.

I understand that he has overhead and cannot volume buy like Jegs,Summit, etc. but GOOD GREIF!

The owner/manager is really a great guy and I was glad to give him business...but...

What gets my goat is that he thinks Jegs, Summit, etc. shouldn't be able to sell at the lower price, so he can make a profit.  There is another local guy that I gave a great deal of business.  He sold to me at almost COST!  He uses the same supplier as the first guy and it really burns me to know what kind of profit he "needed".

The "lowest he could go" for someone that "has given me a lot of business" on a particular toolbox was $540.  The second guy got the sale at $425 and made a slight profit.

I went by the local, and only Rawson-Koenig dealer, here. Two weeks ago, I wanted to look at a single-lid, crossover, aluminum box.  He had one in stock. Quoted $440. Called back today to check stock, now it's $550.  Okay. Called two other dealers 60 miles away. They say $440. Sold! for $440.  I know why they went up. They lost a sale.  They think I will be calling back as they are the sole distributor here. Thanks to the internet, I am back to the same price. I have a salesman who passes thru the cities with the other two dealers.  He will buy and deliver it to me.

Mine have yet to move.  Taking them out is a pain cause they fit so good.  They have little spikes on the side which dig into the floor to stop the sliding.

Glad to see they have improved. The ones I had were just slick on the back and sides. You can imagine what that was like in the winter.

Mine stay put pretty well also.  I have the Catch-all Extreme's with the "screw-spikes"

Mark, is one of those guys Bill (I think), from Carolina Custom Truck Accessories?

Tom, I would like to keep from using the 1st guys name :flag: The owner of the 1st shop is great to deal with other than his prices

I understand.  Whatever the guys name from CCTA is really nice.  I enjoyed just hanging out in there and talking with him the couple times I've been in there.  I bought a couple items from him that seemed like good prices to me, but they were not real expensive item to begin with.
