Wheel Clear Coat

Hey everybody, I used some of that foaming all-wheel cleaner (turdle wax) on my wheels and now I can see that it ate up and clouded up they clear coat on my OEM wheels. I know they have to be re-cleared but I was wondering if I just take it to a car painter or to the dealer or what? Any thoughts? What's it gonna cost me?

I had a similar problem on my 05, I used some wheel cleaner and it messed up the clear cost. It was not bad like I thought so I tried some maguires cleaner was=x and it worked great. It was actually like a film that was left on the wheels. You may want to give that a try first and see if it helps.

A shop can recoat but as said above try to clean up first.

 

For the future, I use this from Adams. It works great on brake dust, oil etc...safe on clear:
