If all I did was tow and haul people and small cargo, I don't see it being a problem. but if you need a bed then I am not sure that would be a good idea. I need both so I own both a truck and SUV.

i have both a burb and a silvy but i would take the truck over the burb anyday because i need and love the bed

Only thing I would consider is maybe going from a Tahoe to a Suburban for more room (kids)

 

Honestly just owning the Tahoe sucked (3 months waiting for my 2010). I had to borrow a trailer once to haul some tables and chairs. Other times I had to make multiple trips

i would get a yukon or tahoe. preferrably a yukon denali. i have a fiberglass bed cover so i dont use the bed. i dont tow. and the 00-06 yukons were nice when lifted

I think I might in a few years actually. I went from a 96 Suburban to my 2010 Sierra and I really miss my suburban (doesn't help that I look out the window into the backyard and see my old Suburban, lol)

 

If I ciould get a Suburban set up like that 2010 Duraburb (with the Silverado HD front end) I would do it in a heartbeat. Wish some one would do a Yukon XL with the Sierra HD front end so I can see what it looks like. But I think with the HD front end the GMT900 suburbans look kick ass.
