Frames

I have a 2000 silverado 4X4 extended cab short box 1500 with a rusted frame and I was wondering if I found a 2500 frame if I could use it and switch the and drivetrain over from the 1500 to the 2500 frame, even if I needed some minor parts, any information would be appreciated. Thanks

well I sure don't know...but all I have to say is I can get down on the ground, roll up under my truck, and I'm saying no way to that. Too complicated to me. Just my $0.02

No everything is different. Is the frame rusted tout or just surface rust?

If it was the same length. But a 2500hd chassis, NO. The bumpers and stuff won't line up correctly.

is it just in certain spots? just curious cuase you could always just do patch work and add more crossmembers
