Looking to buy 2 rear winter tires for my 2wd Silverado. Would like to stay with the stock size 245/70/17. Looking for better traction in Chicago winters. What do you guys recommend?

I would recomend Firestone Winterforces. They are one of the best winter tires and are the cheapest. Buddy just ordered a set for his truck 265 75 16 and it was like 72 a tire or somethin like that. Ive had them on my car and did great. Blizzaks are great too but more expensive. Hope this helps!

any type of tire will work, as long as there is meat left on the tread...i drove the last wisconsin winter with bald tires and did fine, key things are weight in the bed...knowing when to hit the brakes and when not to, and making sure not to rush...haste makes waste or just gets you killed...
