RyanbabZ71 Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 Ok my mom takes my truck every morning to take m y lil bro to school at 6am (weight lifting). Well last night my dad was like did you hear what mom almost hit? I was like no what he was like a raccoon. She went after him. And he was like she was driving your truck. Thats nice all i can picture is my truck crossing into oncoming traffic (no cas) going up the curb into this field and her trying to run it over Maybe i need to hide the keys? Oh yea she doesntlike raccoons not to long ago we had them living in our rafters and it was a total mess. Cost alot of $$$ too
chevy4x4trucks Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 Moms, they have no right to drive there sons truck. My mom always wants to take mine and I very rarely let her. Mostly because she says she'll be gone for an hour to the store, and in woman time it is an hour but in real time it's 3 or 4. Last time she was late w/ it I had a friend drive me to the store and I moved the truck in the lot. That's just another incentive to lift it because then she won't be able to get in. Plus, I'm always worried about her crashing it, I don't think she drives that well and always moves my seat. My dad on the other hand will just use up all of my gas.
RyanbabZ71 Posted December 5, 2001 Author Posted December 5, 2001 i think the grill guard makes her feel invisible
GreenRado Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 Don't know about my truck being used as a weapon . . . But I sure wish it had some sometimes. You know, like when you wish you had a couple of surface-to-surface missiles to touch-off and move those left-lane interstate "pokies". Maybe activated by toggle switchs on the dash!! Actually, it would be fun to have steering wheel integrated switches for this, like chevy4x4 did . . . hmm?! Seriously now, I have to admit I have been tempted to bag a few woodchucks (a.k.a. groundhogs) along the road, but have never really gotten serious about it.
Jpshostr Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 I haven't gone out trying to hit anything, but the stuff just ended up in front of me on these hilly backroads. What sucks is every animal I've turned into road kill has been a skunk. So far I'm up to five of em. On the way to school one morning back when I was a senior I hit one and it got stuck in the front wheelwell of the Blazer I had. Really fun time, he sprayed it good. Well, I backed up and went forward trying to get him out, didn't work. Had to get out my gloves and pull the dang thing out. All that day at school I got enough comments about that stench to last me a lifetime. The Blazer didn't air out for over a week on that little deal. So my tip to you, don't hit skunks, try for squirrels.
Chev4Ever Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 The only thing i ve ever ran over was a racoon... My only blemish for the road kill department.. I hate running anything alive *at the time* I ve found now living in the middle of nowhere that the people around here let there dogs run loose.. All i know is ive come within inches of hitting every dog around here because there the kind of dogs that like to walk right into your direction and stay there until you move..
pacodiablo Posted December 5, 2001 Posted December 5, 2001 my mom loves trucks, but luckly she has a ranger and that keeps her away from my trucks. my dad is too scared to drive my truck
Stepside Z Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 I hit a dog once, no big deal. I hit a skunk once on my way to work. I had to drive 30 miles after I hit the thing. It sprayed the whole underside of the truck. I thought I was going to puke by the time I got to work. The ride home was even worse.
Torque Junkie Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 My mom can barely climb into my truck..... That's too bad that she was misusing your truck like that -Mike
General Lee 01 Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 Ouch, So your mom Ran through a median strip so she could hit a racoon on purpose? Man, Sorry to hear she's abusing your truck like that.
alsz71 Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 HEHEHE Sorry guy's Just had a picture in my head of the look on you mothers face as she was determined to hit the racoon. Last weekend we (company I work for) had our christmas party in Jasper Park Lodge (very nice ) and the road leading up to the lodge had seven moose hit by vehicles laying dead in the ditch. Meaning seven totaled cars or trucks, two of which were still there when I drove by. So it could be worse.....make sure your mom doesn't have anything against really big animals like Moose, elk, Mac trucks.
RyanbabZ71 Posted December 6, 2001 Author Posted December 6, 2001 shes a scary driver. Stops at the last possible second. After she drives my truck which is rare it takes a few days for it to return to normal. She has to move the seat all the way up to reach the pedals. Guess since its so big she feels invisible?
Torque Junkie Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 Guess since its so big she feels invisible? I don't understand how people get that mentality, really. Simple physics tells me that the bigger it is, the longer it takes to stop and the hearder it its to manouver.
chevy4x4trucks Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 are we talking invisible or invincible?
Kansas Kid Posted December 6, 2001 Posted December 6, 2001 I wouldn't complain about her trying to hit a racoon, just read what Jp likes to hit. There is nothing at all like hitting a skunk (exect for a moose, which I can't even imagine). If she had hit a skunk, you wouldn't be anywhere near your truck for about 2 days. LOL Did she actually drive off the road trying to hit something, or over a curb, etc. Or did she simply just try to hit the coon?
