Shocks

In having a 6 " BDs lift installed in the next 2 weeks. It comes with thier standard shocks or able to upgrade to Bilstiens or whatever I decide. It would be a bit cheaper to do now... Or I can just get the lift and tires and install shocks later if the shocks they offer in thier 6" lift will do...

Any help and ideas will be greatly appriciated

I have their standard shocks and haven't had a problem. I'm actually quite pleased with them. If price isn't an issue, go with Bilstein.

It is $100 per shock for the Bilstein upgrade....priceis always an issue. im up to $5000 for tires, wheels and lift.

Bud, I have the upgraded shocks from BDS, the ones made for them by Edelbrock. I can say tat i like them very much, but when I got them with my kit 2 months ago, they were only $50 extra each, not $100 like the bilsteins.

I would not have gotten upgraded ones if they were $100 extra a piece, that is A LOT of cash.

When I got mine I got the upgraded gas shocks and braided brake lines for an extra 200.00. Don't know what kind of shocks they are though, I guess the Edlebrock's yall are talking about. Mine rides great. I really don't notice a difference from when it just had a level kit on the truck.

But if Blackout says the standard shocks are good they probably are just fine.

If you're looking to save on some cash get the the standard shocks IMO.

Hey lackout... you always had the dominator steps?

I figure if I stay with standard shocks I can get the Dominator steps

tit for tat... or something like that..

Yes sir I have, and that is definately a good way to look at it. Maybe it's because I had Rough Country rear shocks before I put the BDS on, but to me they ride great!

if your payin $5000 for lift/wheels/tires i REALLY hope that includes install, and IMO your overpaying for something. I paid $1800 SHIPPED for my superlift with superlift front coilbodys, bilstein rear shocks, and superlift leaf spring packs. i paid $2500 shipped for my wheels and tires with full lifetime warrentys on the wheels and tires and the tires are 35x12.5x20 Toyos and the wheels are XD Spys. with that being said i would definitely go with the bilsteins.
