Ordered an '03 this morning

Well everybody finally convinced the wifey we'd be better off with a new vehicle, rather than trying to find pricey financing for a 4 year old vehicle.  Placed the order thru my dealer this morning for the Silverado (details below).

In case anyone is wondering, after some problems deciding, went with the new Arrival Blue.  Always wanted a blue vehicle, and this particular blue seems to not show the dirt as much - I saw a blue GMC parked next to my other choice, the dark metallic green, and the green really showed the dust and dirt.  Here's the rundown on RPOs, including all std items, as I got them from KBB:

Silverado 1500 Ext. Cab, 4WD, 143.5” W.B.

(CK15753 LS Pickup 4 door, 6 ½ ft bed)

FE9 Fed Emissions

LM7 5.3L

M30 4-speed auto tranny

1SB Preferred Equipment Group

PDL Off-road Package

Z71 Off-road Suspension

Z82 H.D. Trailering Equipment

C7H 6400 lb GVWR

AU3 Automatic Power Door Locks

DL3 Dual Heated Power Mirrors

AG1 6-way Power Drivers Seat

K47 High Capacity Air Cleaner

GT5 4.10 Axle Ratio

E63 Fleetside Body

PDD Carpeting

C49 Rear Window Defroster

T96 Fog Lights

AJ1 Deep Tinted Rear Glass

B85 Body Side Moldings

ZY1 Solid Paint

UB0 AM/FM Stereo w/CD

A95 Bucket Seats Trim D (Custom Cloth)

69D Custom Cloth Seat Trim (Dark Charcoal)

NZZ Skid Plates

SAF Spare Tire Carrier

K34 Speed Control

UK3 Steering Wheel Touch Controls

NP8 Autotrac Transfer Case

PF9 Polished Brushed Aluminum Wheels

UY2 Camper Wiring Provisions

QGD P265/75R16 All Terrain OWL Tires

91U Arrival Blue Metallic

Had a few issues w/ the packaging on some options that I didn't really want, such as the rear window defroster and the "deathstone" tires, but I'll be putting my Duelers on anyway (very low mileage F-stones will be for sale, good price, if anybody's interested!!! ).  Also, unfortunately, had to get the autotrac transfer case since I wanted the bucket seats this time (concession to wifey also for transfer case), so just hope it, and the faulty switch issue has been cleared up.  Thought about upgrading the stereo too, but already pushing the budget some - basically I got what I want - and no leaser this time.  Now to start the customs , boy this is just like early Christmas!! :)

Dealer said right now, TPW is 4 weeks ARO w/ shipping in the next week.  So at least I won't need to wait too long - but even then 4-5 weeks may feel long!!

Looks like I'll need to change my handle to "BlueRado", I guess, and I'll get some pics onto the web also @ some point.

Congrats man.

I too agree with you that selecting a color would be the hardest choice for me on my next vehicle.  I like the dark green, blue but dont like dealing with all the small scratches and dirt.

You trying to beat my record of time from order to dealer?  Mine was March 14th (order accepted) to april 10th arrived on the lot.  Less than 4 wks :)

Thanks guys!

Ryan doubt I'll beat your record though - that's really a short time!

Shotgun, LOL yeah I know what you mean - but I can live with that new front end - would have looked more seriously @ the GMC but just wouldn't work out w/ the dealer people I always work with.

BTW, Shotgun, do you know that beauty in your avatar?

When you get your sales order number and TPW, let me know, if you want to check on your status. I got "accepted by production  contro"l on the 4th and had a TPW of 9-16. Ordering this time of year is better before things back up.

Hey, congrats on the new truck!!!

I ordered pretty much the same truck (two tone) on

August 12th. They said it should be built next Monday,

September 16th.

Hopefully delivery doesn't take that long!

Thanks!

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that blue too.  Funny, I was always pretty much a darker color fan, and this blue changed that for me (must be old age?!    ).  Now if I can just get used to that front-end!

TX, I may take you up on that when I get the order number and TPW.

Rapid, glad you got that situation straightened out - and got $500 to boot - good deal!!

Update for all who might be interested . . .

Order accepted, of all dates, 9/11 (02) !!  Expecting TPW in a few days, and will update that.  One change noted, KBB indicated UB0 radio OK w/ the bucket seats - GM says I need to have the UB1 radio (same, but w/ cassette and BOSE speakers) - the unfortunate part is $600 more cost!!

I had the same thing. I did not want a cassette. But, they made the same change to mine.
